Botanical Nomenclature - BRIEF REVIEW
Example: Picea pungens var. glauca 'Fat Albert'- a species name = the genus name plus the specific epithet
- genus, specific epithet, and variety (may or may not be present) name are italicized
- Genus is capitalized; species and variety are not
- Cultivar name should not be italicized, but instead placed in single quotes and capitalized
- italicization and underlining are equivalent, but use one or the other consistently
Completing Modules
When completing modules you need not turn in anything for the learning objectives or the terms to know. The learning objectives explain what you should be able to do when you complete the module. Terms to know are vocabulary words that you should be able to use in completing the module or in answering questions on the final exam.

Fun stuff about your fellow classmates...
Question: One thing unique about yourself (that you don't mind sharing with the class)Some Responses:
"I often travel around and visit or stay in places rumored to be haunted"

"I am currently spending about half my time in California, helping to raise my twin nephews who were born in September"
"I am a transplant southerner originally from New Jersey."
